Two-hundred-and-thirty years ago on September 17th, the United States Constitution was signed in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. In honor of Constitution Day, various judges and members of the Supreme Court staff will be visiting students across Indiana with a program that focuses on explaining the court process and addressing common misconceptions about America’s bail system.
Some local court officials will be participating in the program. Pulaski County’s Judge Michael Shurn will be presenting at Winamac High School. In La Porte County, Magistrate Nancy Gettinger will be at South Central High School and Judge Jeffrey Thome will visit La Porte High School. Magistrate Jon Forker will provide Kingsbury Elementary students with a program and Senior Judge Kathleen Lang will be at Boston Middle School.
