Monterey Days Festival Celebrates 20 Years

 

The Monterey Days Festival is underway!

The Knights of Columbus pancake and sausage breakfast and the town-wide garage sales open up today’s festival at 8 a.m. ET with the craft and food booths serving visitors beginning at 9a.m. The Miss Tippy Teen pageant is at 1 p.m. with the Monterey Days Festival parade at 4:30 p.m. The auction begins at 5:45 p.m. and entertainment featuring the Nightshift Band and live pro wrestling will round out the evening of activities.

The Monterey Days bike tour is set for 10 a.m. on Sunday which follows the Knights of Columbus pancake and sausage breakfast at 8 a.m. Safe archery is at 11 a.m. and the firemen’s waterball challenge is set for 2 p.m. Lawn mower races start at 2:30 p.m. and the great cake-off begins at 5 p.m. The free movie in the park, featuring “The Goonies” is at 8 p.m.

Monday’s events include the Granny’s Wagon breakfast food trailer, the car show at 9 a.m., corn hole tournament at 10:30 a.m. and the famous Collins Tasch Post #399 ox roast, bingo, and SAL duck race at 11 a.m.

The Monterey Days Festival will close at 4 p.m. on Monday.
