According to Pulaski Health Foundation Executive Director Sharon McKinley, long-time Winamac residents Kenny and Phyllis Garner wanted to give something back to the community.
“Their wish now is to give back to the community for all that it has given to them,” said McKinley. “Their desire is to make a lasting impact for current and future Winamac residents with the donation of this land for Peachtree Hills, which is ranked as a top Assisted Living community.”
The Gardners have been in the Winamac community since 1950 and donated the land at 739 N. U.S. 35 for this building.
The project is in the hands of the architects and will be built as soon as plans are approved. A home on the property will serve as the foundation home for now.
