The West Central School board held a hearing for their 2018 budget and reviewed insurance quotes for 2017-18 school year during their meeting Thursday night.
Superintendent Dan Street went over various line items and commented that the proposed budget was very similar to the 2017 budget. Board President Jeff Lowry closed the hearing after no questions or comments were presented by the board.
Following the hearing, the board examined insurance quotes from a few different providers. After cost comparison and careful consideration Superintendent Street said they decided to go with the provider they’ve used in the past.
“The best bid was for Regions Insurance for our property liability insurance as well as cyber insurance.” Street said, “We’ve been with Regions for three previous years as well so we’ll continue with them.”
Board member Jim Bergens made a motion to approve the property and liability insurance renewal and cyber insurance with Regions Insurance as presented. Board member Jeff Tanner seconded the motion and the motion carried.
