The Eastern Pulaski Community School Board will hold a public hearing over the school corporation’s 2018 budget, capital projects plan and bus replacement plan when they meet tonight.
The budget estimate submitted to Gateway Indiana states that the corporation’s general fund is estimated at a little over $9 million, while the rainy day fund has exactly $1 million. The capital projects plan has more than $2 million and the bus replacement plan is estimated at $270,000.
In their building reports, the principals will address celebrating student choices, upcoming events, extra curricular activities, athletics and clubs, manufacturing day and a community program on opioid addiction.
The school improvement plans will be up for approval and the board will consider an over-night field trip request from the high school student council. Superintendent Dan Foster is expected to discuss enrollment figures as well as the MASE insurance renewal.
The school board is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. EDT tonight and the meeting has been moved from the EPCSC Conference/Meeting Center to the Winamac High School library to accommodate for the potential of public discussion over a matter outside of the regular meeting agenda.
