eLearning Day Planned for Tomorrow at Oregon-Davis Schools

Before Oregon-Davis students officially begin their fall break, they’ll be taking part in an eLearning day tomorrow. “Our philosophy is that we need to prepare our students for the 21st Century, and part of the 21st Century is using technology,” explains Superintendent Dr. Don Harman. “And we believe that we want to have the planned. So the whole concept is our parents and our students know exactly what the expectations are and what their lesson is for what they’re do to, before they leave school on Wednesday.”

He says a couple of planned eLearning days have been scheduled as part of this year’s school calendar. “So obviously, they’ll have Thursday as a planned eLearning day, then we have fall break on Friday and then on Monday,” Harman says. “So when they return on Tuesday, they should have completed those lessons and those activities.”

Tomorrow’s eLearning day will follow this evening’s parent/teacher conferences. In addition to the eLearning days listed in the school calendar, school officials have the option to schedule more, if regular classes have to be canceled due to weather.
