Local job-seekers are invited to meet with representatives from several Starke County employers today. The Starke County Economic Development Foundation is teaming up with WorkOne to host a job fair. It’ll take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Knox Middle School Auxiliary Gymnasium. Those taking part are asked to enter through Door Number 5 on Culver Road.
The job fair is part of the foundation’s annual Manufacturers Day celebration. The main event tomorrow is expected to bring hundreds of seventh and 12th graders together to learn more about Starke County’s manufacturers and what future career opportunities may be available.
Economic development officials say there’s a strong need for workers at most of the county’s manufacturing companies.
