SCEDF to host Manufacturer’s Day for Middle School Students, Honor Industry of the Year at Luncheon

Knox, Ind. – The Starke County Economic Development Foundation will celebrate manufacturing with a few upcoming events. The first is a job fair, cosponsored with WorkOne. It will take place Wednesday, October 5 from 4 until 7 p.m. CDT at the Knox High School All-Purpose Room. Several local manufacturers will be on hand to discuss career opportunities in Starke and surrounding counties. Job seekers can enter through door 12H on the east side of the high school, which is located at #1 Redskin Trail in Knox.

Starke County Manufacturer’s Day Event and Job Fair Set

 

WorkOne and the Starke County Economic Development Foundation will be hosting a Job Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CT at the Knox Middle School Auxiliary Gym. This is a new event this year that is designed to showcase what is available for employment in Starke County as workers are needed for several positions. Rep. Walorski to Present Jobs and Veterans Resource Fair Tomorrow in Mishawaka

Job-seekers have a chance to meet with representatives from 55 employers during a job fair tomorrow in Mishawaka. It will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bethel College Wiekamp Athletic Center. Sen. Coats Teams Up for Hire a Hoosier Vet Job Fair

  
 
Hoosier employers will soon have the opportunity to discover the skills and talents of Indiana’s veterans, as Senator Dan Coats has announced his partnership with several organizations in hosting the seventh annual “Operation Hire a Hoosier Veteran” Job Fair, planned for April 10 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

Coats said it is the duty of state officials to do everything they can to help their brave veterans re-enter the workforce, and said he hopes all Hoosiers will help spread the word about the event. He expressed Hoosier veterans bring unique skills, leadership abilities and experience that can benefit the workplace, making them valuable, hardworking employees.
