Starke County Council, Commissioners to Meet Tonight

 

The Starke County Council members will meet in special session tonight to hold a public hearing on the 2018 budgets and the Starke County Solid Waste budget for 2018. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. CT.

The Starke County Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. The commissioners are expected to sign a proclamation declaring October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. They will also open bids for two bridge projects and get an update from Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler. EMS Director Travis Clary and Clerk Mary Lynn Ritchie will present an EMS report and Larry Wickert from the Starke County Economic Development Foundation will submit a request for an additional appropriation of a SCILL Center payment.

A U.S. 30 Coalition and Starke County U.S. 30 Committee meeting will be set and a congressional fund report will be discussed.

Both the Starke County Council and Starke County Commissioners will gather in the meeting room in the Starke County Annex Building No. 1 in Knox.
