Knox School Board Accepts Over $1,300 in Donations for Student Lunch Accounts

Knox students who don’t have enough money for lunch will get some assistance, thanks to the generosity of the local community.

The Knox Community School Corporation has gotten a $1,200 anonymous donation, plus another $115 from the Church of the Heartland in Knox. “Both of those are to be used for students who may have zero balances in their lunch account or their parents may have forgotten to put money into their lunch account,” explains Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart. “So we can use those monies to help, so kids can eat every day.”

Those donations were formally accepted by the school board Monday.
