Knox School Board Approves Pay Raises for Administrators, Classified Staff

Several Knox school administrators will be getting a raise, following action by the school board Monday. “The board approved raises for administrators from anywhere between zero up to $2,000,” says Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart,” depending upon the administrator and the evaluation that was done on that particular administrator.”

Meanwhile, he says classified staff will get a one-percent pay increase, which will take effect on January 1, 2018. That applies to school employees who are not teachers or administrators.

Both of those raises were first brought to the school board last month, when teacher salaries were increased. But Reichhart says board members decided to hold off on a decision until this week. “They just needed more information as to why I was recommending some being retroactive for administrators and why others were being in effect from January 2018 for classified staff,” he explains. “So we just needed a little bit more time to discuss.”

The Knox School Board ended up approving both the classified and administrative staff pay raises unanimously.
