Medaryville Police officers have a new set of policies to follow. The new Standard Operating Guidelines were formally accepted by the town council Wednesday, according to Clerk-Treasurer Judy Harwood.
She says they were developed by Town Marshal Dave Combs. “Well, it’s a new police chief, and he wanted to bring in some policies that he thought that they needed,” Harwood explains.
Harwood says council members also discussed a 2009 police vehicle that’s been experiencing problems, but didn’t make any decisions Wednesday. Meanwhile, she says the town is also looking into the possibility of hiring a new maintenance employee.
