Community members continue to voice their support for Winamac High School’s former boys basketball coach. Kyle Johnson was removed from the coaching job in a controversial decision by the Eastern Pulaski School Board last month.
On Monday, a petition in support of Johnson was presented to board members by Jona Ewasiuk. She said it included over 1,500 signatures, as well as several positive comments about Johnson.
An online petition started by Ewasiuk on Change.org calls Johnson’s removal from the job “a travesty pure and simple.” However, it doesn’t specifically call for board members to reverse their decision.
