Landscaping updates are moving ahead at the Winamac Park Pavilion. The town’s park board previously decided to remove the plants that used to surround the building and replace them with landscaping stone. Board members think that will help protect the historic structure from moisture damage.
On Friday, employees with the town’s utility departments were scheduled to pick up two truck loads of large stone for the project. That’s according to town manager and park board member Brad Zellers, who gave an update during Thursday’s park board meeting.
He also reported that a property survey at Veteran’s Memorial Park has been delayed because of weather. Board members are looking into the possibility of adding green space, to make room for benches, a sign, and other proposed amenities.
