The Yellowstone Trail Fest will be able to add a beer garden to next year’s festival. Back in October, organizers approached the Hamlet Town Council to ask about placing a beer garden in the town park.
During last week’s council meeting, Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Pitts reported that it would be fine with the town’s insurance provider, as long as the vendor has insurance and the proper liquor permits. The beer garden would also have to be roped off from the rest of the park. The Yellowstone Trail Fest initially planned to use a beer vendor out of Valparaiso, but town officials have been encouraging them to work with a Starke County brewery.
Also during last week’s meeting, festival organizers formally thanked the Town of Hamlet for once again sponsoring the festival’s bounce houses. Council members were presented with a plaque and thank-you card.
