Dump Truck Purchase Approved by Pulaski County Commissioners

The Pulaski County Commissioners have approved the purchase of a $124,000 dump truck for the County Highway Department. This week, the commissioners voted to accept the low bid submitted by Pozzo Truck Center. It was for a 2019 Mack truck.

The commissioners also voted to equip the truck with a lift bed, hoist, and snow plow from Terry Truck Equipment. Highway Superintendent Terry Ruff said the county is saving some money by getting a one-way plow this time. “We’ve got several of them older v-plows, if we need that,” he explained. “A new plow’s $10,500. Now, we’ve got old plows. We can bust through them roads with them old plows, you know that as well as I do. So we don’t buy new v-plows all the time.”

Terry Truck Equipment was the only company to bid on the equipment package.
