The Pulaski County Commissioners are nearing a decision on a new Emergency Medical Services director. “We had the interviews for the EMS director, and we’re going to make our decision by the 16th of January,” Commissioner Kenny Becker said Tuesday. “So that’s when that will be finalized. We’ve got one more to talk to. They wasn’t available today to talk to us on the phone. We’ve got one more to talk to, and then we’ll go through and pick out our new director.”
In the meantime, the commissioners voted to keep Kyle McTiegue as temporary EMS director. It was one of several department appointments approved by the commissioners this week.
Highway Superintendent Terry Ruff, Maintenance Supervisor Jeff Johnston, and Building Inspector Doug Hoover were among those reappointed for 2018. Meanwhile, Commissioner Becker will remain board president for another year, while Commissioner Jerry Locke will stay on as vice-president.
