Some Schools, Government Offices Closed Monday for Martin Luther King Day

Oregon-Davis students will still have Martin Luther King Day off, in spite of the cancellation of classes yesterday. That’s according to Superintendent Dr. Don Harman.

While January 15 is listed as a possible eLearning makeup day on O-D’s calendar, Harman says students and teachers were not prepared to use it. Instead, school officials are planning to hold an eLearning day on Friday, February 16. That day, students will be able to complete lessons and projects from home, to make up for the classes they missed yesterday.

Additionally, several government offices will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Day, including state offices, and Starke and Pulaski County. However, some town offices will be open. Mail will not be delivered Monday. If you’re unsure whether something will be open, consider checking ahead of time.
