West Central School Board Makes Yearly Appointments, Accepts Treasurer’s Retirement

The West Central School Corporation’s long-time treasurer is stepping down. “Pamela Ledford, our corporation treasurer for several years, is retiring at the end of the year, and we were anticipating that,” says Superintendent Don Street. “She’ll be retiring, as of June 30, and we appreciate her dedication and time to the West Central School Corporation.” The school board formally accepted Ledford’s retirement last week.

Board members also voted to reappoint her to the position until her retirement takes effect, as part of the school corporation’s yearly round of appointments. Assistant Treasurer Bonnie Koebcke, Extra-Curricular Treasurer Monica Franscoviak, and School Corporation Attorney Edward Dumas were all reappointed, as well.

Street says the school board also chose its officers for 2018. “Todd Miller was elected president,” Street says, “Mandy Sharpe was elected vice-president, and Jonathan Gutwein was elected as our secretary.”

Board members also filled out the required conflict of interest forms.
