The Eastern Pulaski School Board will decide today whether to move ahead with a large-scale paving project on the schools’ campus. The work would include resurfacing the driveways and most of the parking lots. Plans also call for sidewalk repair and traffic flow updates.
The school corporation once again only received one bid for the construction work, in spite of efforts to attract more interest. The same thing happened when Eastern Pulaski first tried bidding out the project last year.
Gibraltar Design is recommending that the school board accept the lone bid from Rieth-Riley Construction Company, even though it’s a bit higher than initial estimates. The school board will make a decision during a special session this evening at 5:30 EST in the Eastern Pulaski Conference/Meeting Center.
