Starke County Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler and his crew have been patrolling areas in the county and identified areas of high water. One state road is even closed to due to snow melt and heavy rain.
The high water areas include 1100 E. between 500 N. and 600 N., 500 N. between State Road 23 and 1100 E., Toto Rd. between 250 E. and 300 E., 600 N. between 800 E. and 900 E., 1200 E. between 150 N. and 50 N., 800 N between 550 E. and 600 E., 300 N. between 1100 E. and 1200 E., and 100 W. between State Road 8 and 200 N.
State Road 23 is closed from State Road 8 to State Road 10. Ritzler adds that 900 E. is closed between 550 S. and 625 S., as well as 1200 East from 550 N to 600 N.
