The Francesville Town Council members learned this week that the wastewater treatment project is complete.
An aeration system was installed underneath the lagoon pond to keep the water active from collecting algae. Air is blown through hoses into the lagoon to keep it constantly bubbling. Prior to this project, suspended solids were collecting bacteria which did not follow Indiana Department of Environment Management regulations. This project solves any issues with IDEM.
The $800,000 project was funded through grant funds and a bond.
