A North Judson woman was arrested late Thursday night after a traffic stop in the area of State Road 39 and 50 E. in North Judson.
Deputies from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department pulled over the vehicle for an alleged speeding violation. Police say the two people in the vehicle switched spots when the deputy was approaching the vehicle.
K9 Merlin conducted a free air sniff and indicated to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search reportedly found 5.6 grams of methamphetamine and syringes.
Tiffany Northrop, 30, was arrested and booked into the Starke County Justice Center on preliminary charges of operator never licensed, possession of syringes and possession of more than five grams of methamphetamine.
Formal charges are pending with the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.
