Police Arrest Juveniles for Vandalism

The Knox City Police Department arrested five juveniles for their alleged involvement in a rash of vandalism on Saturday, Feb. 24.

According to Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith, at just after 3:40 a.m. that day, a witness told police that several juveniles spray-painted a building at 45 W. Lake Street. Hours later, a influx of calls were made to police citing damage to homes, businesses, vehicles, and other structures in the Knox area. Police say graphic material was spray-painted on many pieces of property.

Knox City Police Detective Eric Vanderheof began an investigation that resulted in the arrest of five juveniles responsible for the crime. All involved are reportedly are cooperating with police.

The investigation is ongoing.
