Several residents are anticipated to attend the Pulaski County Board of Zoning Appeals and Plan Commission meetings tonight to gather more information on wind turbine discussions.
The Federal Aviation Administration has received several pieces of paperwork with interest in placing wind turbines in the Pulaski County and Francesville zoning jurisdictions. As of last week, Pulaski County Building Inspector and Francesville Clerk-Treasurer Linda Bennett have not received any permit requests for such structures.
A number of landowners in the Pulaski County and Francesville areas attended last week’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting and the Francesville Town Council meeting to voice opposition to wind turbines. It is anticipated that more of the discussion will happen during tonight’s meetings.
The Pulaski County Board of Zoning Appeals meeting will begin at 6 p.m. tonight followed by the Pulaski County Plan Commission meeting at 7 p.m. ET. Both meetings have been moved to the Pulaski County Highway Garage.
