Two people were arrested after a traffic stop in North Judson on Wednesday evening.
According to police, North Judson Chief Deputy Frank Thomas initiated a traffic stop after the driver was reportedly recognized by the officer as a person with known arrest warrants. The driver did not stop and allegedly made erratic movements and crossed over the fog line. The driver did pull over about a half of a mile down the road.
As Deputy Thomas approached the vehicle, the passenger allegedly threw items out of the window into the ditch area. After an investigation, the driver, 36-year-old Patrina Hall, was arrested on a preliminary charge of false informing. She is also being held for warrants out of Marshall and Pulaski Counties.
The passenger, 37-year-old Joshua Hopper, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine, dealing in cocaine, and being in possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, a controlled substance, a syringe and drug paraphernalia.
Police reportedly recovered thousands of dollars in cash and narcotics in the incident.
North Judson Police officers remind residents that these are simply allegations. Those involved are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
