A bid was awarded Wednesday morning for two street projects in the City of Knox.
Three bids were opened for the paving projects on Fisher Street and Delaware Street. Reith Riley submitted the lowest bid at $68,975. City Attorney Leslie Baker will review the company’s bid sheets to make sure that all of the bond paperwork is in line. The Knox Board of Works members approved that bid contingent on review of the bond paperwork.
Fisher Street will be paved from Adams Street to Madison Street, also Madison Street to John Street. Fisher Street from John Street to Bender Street will also be paved.
Delaware Street from Fisher Street to Bower Street will be paved as well as from Brown Street to Prettyman Street. Delaware Street from Prettyman Street to McGill Street will also be paved. Alley approaches on Delaware Street will receive an asphalt upgrade.
The start dates for these projects have not been released.
