The Wall Gang Riders will make a stop at the West Central School Corporation on Wednesday, May 23, according to West Central School Superintendent Don Street.
“That is a group of motorcycle riders who are veterans,” said Street. “They start on the west coast and end up in Washington, D.C. They stop at schools, veterans homes, and many other locations. When they stop we’ll have a ceremony and they will change our POW flag. It’s really a great event. It’s an opportunity for our students as well as our community to show support to our veterans for the sacrifices they’ve made for us over the years.”
Street said the middle school students write 100 thank you notes to veterans which are passed along to individuals in veterans homes.
The Wall Gang Riders are expected at the West Central School Corporation around 10:15 a.m. ET on May 23.
