The Francesville Town Council received a request to house a storage unit on the new pickup.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Linda Bennett, the secured storage unit would be in the bed of the truck and would carry extra supplies.
The council members approved the purchase.
Town Marshal Doug Lee recently purchased a new radar system for the new 2018 Dodge pickup. The pickup has been in service since February. It replaced a 2009 Dodge Charger on the fleet which was sold at auction.
