The Eastern Pulaski School Board members will be adding an administrative position at the high school level. The candidate may also be able to help with other corporation duties as well, according to Superintendent Dan Foster.
“They might help us with curriculum and they might help us with some grant management and some things like that,” said Foster. “It might depend on who the person is and their talents and their strengths.”
With the recent retirement of the media specialist and the position movement of the Warrior Academy Director into the media center, that saved the corporation a position which would allow for the administrative position. Besides that, Foster said a lot of high school staff members were asking for help. The high school has been without an assistant principal and a second secretary in the office for several years and Foster believes another administrator would be advantageous.
On Monday night, Foster said the Eastern Pulaski School Board members agreed to move forward with that plan.
“We have some tweaking to do on the job description and a couple of other things, but, in general, the board did approve the position. We just need to tweak a few things and we’ll get that posted soon. Hopefully, we’ll get some great applications for that position.
