The caucus to find the replacement for the District 4 Knox City Council member will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26th at Knox City Hall.
During citizen comments at Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, Mayor Dennis Estok mentioned that since the caucus will be held prior to the regularly scheduled meeting, the new member will be sworn in and will attend their first meeting that night.
In order to be eligible for the position, individuals are required to live in District 4 in the City of Knox and they must have voted Democrat in the last primary election. They would also need to submit a letter of interest to Starke County Democratic Chairman Kenny Wallace, at least 72 hours prior to the caucus.
In order to reach Wallace by phone call (574) 772-4900 or you can send an email to local.starke@gmail.com. Additional contact information can be found on the Indiana Democrats website.
