The grand opening of the Damore Amphitheater located in the Culver and Union Township Park is set for this week.
The new sod is installed and donor plaques have been placed in areas around the outdoor area. A concert and dedication ceremony will begin Friday, June 22 at 6 p.m. ET at the site.
The ribbon to officially open the venue will be cut prior to the opening concert for the evening. All of the donors will be recognized.
The Damore Amphitheater was built through the generosity of dollars donated by the public through a crowdfunding grant that was matched with funds from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, several individual donations, and a $25,000 grant from the Marshall County Community Foundation. The bid was awarded to Easterday Construction in the amount of $131,450.
