The Eastern Pulaski School Board members held discussion this week on dissolving the the Logansport Area Joint Special Services Co-op.
Superintendent Dan Foster said special education students from Eastern Pulaski schools do attend that Co-op. A resolution was drafted by an attorney who specializes in this type of proceeding. That resolution was presented to the school board Monday night in order to move forward with the action.
“This will be effective July 1, 2019, so we still have a year,” explained Foster. “We are working through a lot of the details. That’s one big reason why we still need another year. There’s a lot to do. Our main goal is make this transition as smooth as possible without interfering with the student’s learning.”
Eastern Pulaski, Pioneer, and Caston are working together to form an agreement at this time.
The resolution was approved with a unanimous vote.
