A man wanted on an active warrant out of Pulaski County was taken into custody Wednesday morning.
Around 10:30 a.m. officers with the Indiana State Police, Knox City Police, and Starke County Sheriff’s Departments were on South Fisher Street in Knox, apprehending the subject.
According to Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith, 23-year-old Sammie Lee Marshall Jr. was reportedly seen walking and officers responded, as he was apparently known to have an active warrant for battery in a neighboring county.
Marshall has been lodged in Pulaski County Jail on a domestic battery charge. On Pulaski County Jail Tracker, June 1st is listed as the offense date. ISP is mentioned as the arresting agency and Jim E. Strong was the arresting officer.
