The Medaryville Town Council members met in special session this week to determine what type of water tower they would like to build on a piece of land across from the Medaryville Town Hall.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Judy Harwood, the council members considered three different types of water towers to get an idea of what grant funding would be needed to move forward with the project. They decided on two options: a bolt-together galvanized leg water tower in the amount of $929,264 and a glass-fused tank on a concrete pedestal in the amount of $904,953.
Harwood said those estimates will be given to the grant administrator to include in the application for a CFF grant. She explained that the town will have to include a 20 percent match toward the grant, once the final amount is determined.
