The West Central School Board members finalized several new policies when they met on Thursday night.
Superintendent Don Street said the alcohol and substance testing policy for commercial driver licensed employees and revisions in the reductions in force were approved on second reading. Street added that the tobacco free environment policy was updated to include electronic nicotine devices.
Lastly, the board reviewed the student evaluation policy, according to Street.
“We took a look at that and made some recommendations with standards-based report cards for kindergarten and first grade as well as retention policy and grading scale to make it consistent second grade through 12th grade with the grading policy.”
The policy updates were finalized Thursday, after being presented to the board last month.
