The West Central School Board members took action last week to approve breakfast and lunch prices for students and adults for the upcoming school year.
Superintendent Don Street said that in her report, Cafeteria Manager Jessica Murray said that prices had not increased in the past two years, but they will increase this fall.
“The elementary breakfast price will increase 15 cents to $1.25. The middle and high school breakfast price will increase to $1.40. The elementary lunch will increase to $2.20. The middle school lunch will be $2.65 and high school will be $2.75. That’s an increase of 25 cents at the elementary school, 25 cents at the middle school and 30 cents at the high school,” said Street.
Reduced lunch price will remain at 40 cents for lunch and 30 cents for breakfast.
The adult breakfast price will be $1.65 and an adult lunch be $3.50.
Street commented that the reason for the increase is the overall increase in food prices.
