The West Central School Board took action last week to approve the Head Start agreement and the Medaryville Preschool agreement, according to Superintendent Don Street.
“The Head Start will be at West Central for a second year and Medaryville Preschool will be moving to West Central Elementary next year,” said Street. “We’re happy to have these preschool programs in our school system.”
Street added that the school board did approve The Crossing School Service Agreement.
“It’s just another opportunity for people to earn a diploma if they’re not successful at our public school.”
The West Central School Corporation only pays The Crossing if a student attends the alternative school and that student shows up on the Average Daily Membership. Street said only one student has attended The Crossing in the past several years.
