Indiana State Police Continue to Investigate Death of Knox Woman

While specific details cannot be shared at this time to prevent possible interference with the ongoing investigation, Indiana State Police detectives continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the death of 36-year-old Knox resident Tiffany Witham.

Witham was found at a Starke County residence on Sunday, June 24th and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Coroner Dannie Hoffer around 2:30 a.m.

ISP Detective Brian Kubiak said that the State Police have been the primary investigators conducting the death investigation ever since they were contacted by the Starke County Sheriff’s Department about the incident.

Detective Kubiak estimates that the investigation will last another two to three weeks. An official report had not been presented to the Starke County Prosecutor’s office as of Friday afternoon.

Kubiak noted that rumors can be especially harmful to an investigation and can actually slow down the process. Until an official update is provided, please avoid spreading hearsay that may impede further progress.

However, if you have any factual information that could assist with the investigation, contact the ISP Lowell Post and ask to be connected to Detective Brian Kubiak.

He mentioned he is often in the field so you’ll likely be directed to his voicemail but he explained that he personally reviews all messages left for him. He added that he’s already received a handful of tips. The number to call is 219-696-6242.
