Knox Board of Works members received some health insurance information from Wastewater Superintendent Kelly Clemons when they met last Wednesday.
Superintendent Clemons said she wanted the board members to be aware that health insurance is offered through National Rural Water, just in case they’re considering a switch down the line.
She told them, “I didn’t know if you guys would be interested in looking into that maybe for insurance in the future. From the look of this, it’s very affordable.”
Clemons mentioned that her department is involved with Indiana Alliance of Rural Water. She stated that the Indiana Alliance is a part of National Rural Water, and is the only member in the state.
No official actions were taken on the matter, but she provided members with an article about the health insurance opportunites that are available. She noted that the figures provided were for Iowa so there may be a small difference with the rates that would be available to them.
