Bridge replacement work on County Road 25 N. in Starke County is anticipated to wrap up this week.
Starke County Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler recently told the county council members that he hoped the work would be done by the time school started so the buses could have a direct route. On Tuesday of this week, Ritzler told WKVI News that the paving equipment is in place and the paving portion of the project should be done by the end of the week. School starts for Knox students tomorrow.
La Porte Construction Company has been doing the work on Bridge No. 36 over Eagle Creek. The bid for $303,234.10 was approved in October of 2017.
