Firefighters responded to the call of a house fire in the 11,000 E. block of 150 S. on Monday.
According to the Washington Township Fire Department, firefighters from that department arrived shortly after being dispatched around noon CT and began extinguishing the blaze coming from the two-story home. Nobody was home at the time of the fire. The structure sustained heavy damage.
No serious injuries were reported.
A representative from Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office will determine the cause and origin of the fire on Tuesday, Sept. 4 as the incident remains under investigation.
The Knox-Center Township Fire Department and the American Red Cross assisted at the scene.
