The Medaryville Town Council reviewed new information regarding an ongoing claim with EVAPAR in Fort Wayne.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Judy Harwood, the company’s workers attempted to fix the generator that powers the lift stations, but after it was repaired, the generator reportedly only worked for about 20 minutes before it would quit working. The company took another look at it, and ended up racking up 30 hours of labor and charging the town $4,928 in the second repair bill. The town council members previously asked that the labor cost be waived.
Last week, the town council learned the company agreed to take about $653 off of the claim, which was about the cost of the first repair bill, which the town council members accepted and finalized the claim.
