City of Knox Seeks Tree for Lighting Ceremony & More Peppermint Parade Participants

Do you have a tree that would make the perfect centerpiece for this year’s downtown holiday celebration in Knox?

When Knox City Council member met last Tuesday, Mayor Dennis Estok mentioned that the City is looking for somebody local who’s willing to donate a tree that’s at least 25 feet tall.

Estok added, “Anybody who wants to donate a tree, let us know and we’ll go take a look at it and the city will go down and remove the tree and also do the clean-up.

Mayor Estok also noted that the donor will be honored at the tree lighting ceremony that will follow the Peppermint Parade and associated holiday festivities at Wythogan Park on December 1st.

If you’re interested in participating in this year’s parade, there’s still time to sign up! The deadline to apply is Wednesday, November 21st. Click the following link to access the 2018 Peppermint Parade Application.
