The work done over the summer to complete the secure entrance and utilization of space projects at the West Central School Corporation are nearly complete. Superintendent Don Street said Adam Weesner from architecture and engineering firm Barton Coe Villamaa updated the school board on Thursday night.
“Overall, the project went very well with the scope of work that was done,” said Street. “The construction company is completing the final details of the project.”
The projects included new fencing at the football field, new pavement for the elementary school parking lot, outdoor LED lighting, the replacement of the heating and cooling units for the high school cafeteria and high school band room area as well as the renovation of the north lobby restrooms, replacement of the middle school auxiliary gym roof, and the renovation of offices at the elementary and middle schools to produce more secure entrances.
