The Eastern Pulaski School Board has a new member.
Rob Zeider is finishing out the unexpired term of Terri Johnston. Johnston indicated in a previous setting that she needs to relinquish her Van Buren Township seat on the school board as she is moving from the area.
Superintendent Dan Foster said Monday night that the board interviewed five candidates and narrowed the list to three. A committee conducted further interviews and brought a recommendation to the school board Monday night. The board unanimously approved the recommendation of Rob Zeider to the vacant seat.
Angie Anspach administered the oath of office to Zeider who then signed the necessary documents to complete the process. He offered his appreciation to his fellow board members during Monday’s meeting.
“I’ve been away doing my thing in teaching, being a band director and other things at Kouts for 30 years,” said Zeider. “I’ve been back for a while, but it’s a good way for me to re-engage in this community and I look forward to the service.”
He will be in the Van Buren Township seat through Dec. 31, 2020.
