The cause of a train derailment in Hamlet on Wednesday remains under investigation.
According to Genessee & Wyoming Railroad Services, Inc. Corporate Communications Vice President Michael E. Williams, seven loaded railcars of a 90-car grain train derailed on the CFE rail line at 750 E. south of U.S. 30 in Hamlet at about 6:20 a.m. CT on Wednesday. There were no injuries or hazardous materials involved. The cause is under investigation.
