To prepare for the snowy season, North Judson-San Pierre School Board members approved the purchase of a new sidewalk snow plow when they met Tuesday night. Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin explained that the existing model is outdated so school officials went through the process of receiving multiple quotes for a replacement.
Dr. Zupin noted that after reviewing all of the figures, her recommendation was to go with the company Heinold and Feller who provided a quote of $18,558.
She said their quote was less expensive and the engine included higher horsepower. She also noted that unlike the corporation’s current model, this plow has a heated cab.
