The Knox Peppermint Parade has Been Rescheduled Due to Anticipated Inclement Weather

Due to the inclement weather that is anticipated for Saturday, December 1st, the Knox Peppermint Parade has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 15th.

Additionally, the deadline to sign-up for the parade has been extended. Participants now have until Wednesday, December 12th to submit their application. Click the following link to access the Peppermint Parade Application or visit the city’s official website, cityofknox.net.

The Mayor’s Office announced that the line-up time has changed to 3 p.m. on the 15th and the parade will start promptly at 3:30 p.m.

The route for the parade will remain the same, however, it will end at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center rather than Wythogan Park. The reviewing stand will be stationed at the intersection of Lake and Main Streets.

The tree lighting ceremony will take place immediately following the conclusion of the parade outside of the Community Center.

Santa Claus will be stationed inside, ready to visit with kids after the lighting ceremony concludes. There will also be free hot cocoa, cider and s’mores. Parents are encouraged to bring their own camera to capture pictures.

If you have any questions about the changes, contact the Mayor’s Office at 574-772-4553.
