Whether you’re looking to promote your business or organization or just want to show off your Christmas spirit, you don’t want to miss your chance to be a part of the Knox Peppermint Parade.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, November 22nd and the parade will take place on Saturday, December 1st. Line-up for the parade starts at 2 p.m. and it begins at 3 p.m.
In order to make this hometown Christmas celebration complete, city officials would like to see a variety of people, businesses and organizations represented in the parade.
Another perk of getting involved with this event is that you’ll have the chance to be in the same procession as Santa Claus himself, so click the following link to access the Peppermint Parade Application and sign-up before it’s too late.
In addition to searching for more parade participants, city officials are still seeking the perfect tree for the lighting ceremony.
The tree should be at least 25-feet tall and the donor will be honored during the lighting ceremony which will take place at 5 p.m. at Wythogan Park after the parade and other holiday festivities. Mayor Dennis Estok noted that city officials will take care of removal and clean-up.
